Kat and I had the chance of staying at the Stone Hut last night on top of Mount Mansfield. This was my first time to the Stone Hut and hopefully won't be my last. The hut is amazing and makes you appreciate the mountain even more. The skiing at Stowe hasn't been ideal lately and this morning proved to be no different with the quad being on wind delay for the majority of the morning. However, we were still able to venture to the summit and in even better news, it looks like there will be some precipitation overnight. See all the photos here.

Tree Hunting
Last weekend Kat and I went searching for a Christmas tree. After searching 35 acres of land filled with trees of all sizes and shapes we found a perfect tree. See more pictures here.
Happy Holidays!

Powder Day at Stowe
Skied with Chris Bishop and Pat Gill today at Stowe. Shredded some decent powder for the first time this season. The sun came out later in the day, making for the best day of the season thus far. See more photos here.

At work we have already started packaging and bottling our Spring Variety 12-Pak called Spring Fever and our new Spring Seasonal named Vinyl. These products should hit the shelves in January.

Opening Day at Jay Peak
Today was opening day at Jay Peak. They opened with one lift and one trail. It never got really crowded and the snow was a bit icy, but not that bad. Here are a few photos I snapped.
My Subaru Outback '10
Over the summer I traded in my 2002 Audi A4 for a 2010 Subaru Outback. Subaru re-designed this years Outback and made the vehicle both taller and longer more like a crossover than a traditional wagon.
Over the weekend I started to research getting a cargo box for my roof. I learned some consumers had issues with the rear tailgate hitting the box, thus not allowing the tailgate to fully open. See the the thread here. If I got a smaller box, I couldn't fit my skis. Dilemma.
I went to EMS in South Burlington and decided to try one of the longer boxes and low and behold it actually fit. The rear tailgate does touch a bit at the very end, so I'm going to tape felt on the rear of my box so it doesn't scratch the brake light.
The model is the Thule 687BXT Atlantis 1800XT. It is on sale right now from EMS for $479.
